The Victims: Syl the first time; Connie, Gabriella, Sherry, Al, Louise, and Rob the 2nd time
Date of Last Visit: July 17th and 18th. UPDATE: Then again on July 24th!
I have found my neighborhood pub. I wish it were closer, but it’s not. But I love it. I love the decor. I wish whoever designed it could come to my flat and decorate it. (White-washed furniture, cool lamps, cool chairs and tables.)
Now technically, The Garrison is a gastro-pub. But I’ve only eaten rice crackers there. And they were yummy.
We ordered a bottle of Proseco. Flashback to Munich! And sat at two cute tables with very cute chairs. There were lots of doors and windows open to the street, so there was lots of fresh air. The music was great. I think it could have been louder and more unified, but it was sufficient.
I don’t have much else to say except that I went Friday night with Syl for some beers and went back again on Saturday afternoon with a larger gang after a fun trip to Borough Market for some Saturday afternoon cocktails.
Update: I’ve eaten here! On July 24th, I had a yummy ceasar salad with pan-seared scallops. Just want I needed! It was delicious. And I love the rice crackers still.
The Verdict: Go here if you’re in the hood, or maybe even if you’re not.
