I think this dude has the coolest theme for a blog ever: he likes wine and he likes hiking. So he's Winehiker Witiculture. He's also our host for Wine Blogging Wednesday #50. So perhaps not surprisingly, his theme is…Which wine would you pour in the great outdoors?
Hmmm. I'd like to say I was scientific and thoughtful about this. But instead, here's what I did:
I remembered that Wine Blogging Wednesday was coming up while I was on my way home from work. But I had no idea what the theme was. So I twittered for it. And got it. From Eating Leeds. And El Jeffe at The Twisted Oak Winery.
Wine for the great outdoors…hmmm. Red…
Well, I'm in Waitrose. Where I'd probably go to stock up before going hiking. So I scan. And I scan. I think French. And earthy. And biodynamic. Or organic. And I end up with a very affordable French Bordeaux. The Calvet Reserve 2006. And it is organic. It's merlot and cabernet and it's very clean tasting. And I enjoy it while NOT hiking. The exact opposite of hiking, in fact. It involves me and my La-z Boy Recliner. And a few episodes of Gossip Girl in the DVD player. Sue me.
P.S. Don't forget…blog about Your Perfect Day in London by the end of October. I'll summarize all the blog posts for all to publish on their blogs as a traffic-building exercise…

Glad to be of help!
No hiking for me either – just a big bowl of pasta! 🙂
Kristin, I admire your intentions, and I’m sure I would admire the wine! Well, if you’d like, I’ll be happy to give you extra credit if you go and enjoy that hike that I know you’re thinking about doing! 🙂
Thank you for participating in WBW#50!
